What’s Up?
Well… nothing much I guess… I (or rather my dive groups) have not been lucky with the school of hammerheads recently. We blame it on bad timing, bad luck & hammerheads went on a holiday from us. Hahaha…
However, we’ve been pretty lucky with the underwater ”birdies”. Little manta (and maybe its sibling) are still hanging out at the usual place. We also can confirm that 2 bigger mantas (maybe the mama & papa) are now commonly spotted at another place among the school of mobula devilrays. Finally, we spotted a school of 10 eagle rays at another place. This is the biggest school spotted so far as normally, we only get to see two’s or three’s at one dive.
New moon just passed & the whole scenery underwater changed totally to the opposites. For example, dive site one which used to be really busy with life & activities underwater became totally insanely quiet where-as another dive site which was quieter became all alive all of a sudden.
One lucky dive group which just arrived today had a school of visitor while they were minding their own “business” by the reef during their check-out dive. This immediately gave us all divemasters hope for a similar encounter tomorrow.
On the personal side, I’m not doing too good. Missing home terribly, especially hubby & mum. Plus, have not been getting good nite sleep since my roomies are of “different time zone” altogether! Sigh… Anyway… it’ll be soon when I get to be on holiday with hubby again. I can’t wait!!!
Signing off from Layang-Layang Island for now. Good nite & sleep tight!
