Wonderful Day

Weather’s been shitty since I arrived. Wind kept blowing from North East which made the water surface pretty rough at some of my favorite dive sites.

Underwater has been pretty quiet though. No current and water was really warm (which is nice…).Saw a devilray & manta each during my check-out dives. Then, my first hammerhead few days back when I started guiding my first dive group.

Then TODAY, the sun decided to shine ever so brightly and the wind decided to blow ever slightly which made our diving so much easier. Current started to “kick” underwater & thermocline started to rise to shallower water.

WONDERFUL!!! Been waiting for this change for so long!

First dive, one hammerhead again that came pretty close to our group to check us out. Jackfishes are starting to mate. Bumpheads (parrotfish) are bigger in school this year.

Second dive, SCHOOL OF HAMMERHEADS! Yay!!! Been waiting for them & finally I got to see them again! Phew… my divers were ecstatic of cos… Hehehe…

Other than that, nothing new here in Layang-Layang Island. Here are some pics taken by my fellow diver, Joost Schuyt, since the past few days diving with me.
